About this event
Ever wanted to learn how people danced in the early 19th century? Here's your opportunity!
Our English Country Dance classes are beginner-friendly, free, and open to all regardless of RSV membership status. No partner is required to take part, so singles are very welcome! Whether you have years of dance experience or have never set foot on a ballroom floor, we'd love to have you join us. (Though, admittedly, it is helpful if you know your left from your right!)
We are excited to welcome Mr. Steplively to our February 7 dance class! Please note the special "extended times" from our typical dance session so that we will be able to accommodate additional teaching during this, our final class prior to the Valentine's Ball. The last 1 to 1-1/2 hours of class will be reserved for practicing the most difficult dances on the program. (Those who need additional basic instruction will be offered the opportunity to continue to practice the less complicated dances concurrently with a different instructor.) Registration is PARTICULARLY recommended as, if we are are constrained by space, priority will be given to those who took the trouble to register, in the order of registration (if necessary).
While registration is not required, it is highly recommended by the Wednesday immediately preceding the class so that you can get the most up-to-date information or news about cancellations.
